Conservative MP for Lewes and former nurse at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Maria Caulfield, came to Sutton on Saturday to help knock on doors across Sutton, hearing people's views and advertising the Open Primary to select the next Conservative candidate for London Mayor.
Maria spoke of how important it was for people to sign up to get involved in the Open Primary and take part in the selection of the next Conservative candidate.
Maria said, "I really enjoyed coming to Sutton to help local activists knock on doors in Sutton and Cheam. I've known Paul for a long time and he is doing great work as MP for Sutton, Cheam and Worcester Park, and Steve O'Connell has done excellent work as London Assembly Member for Croydon and Sutton. London needs a Conservative Mayor and Conservative controlled Assembly to help move Sutton forward, so I hope everyone takes the opportunity to sign up to vote in the Open Primary to select who our candidate should be."
