Sutton Council is attempting to secure Bus Priority Funding from Transport for London (TfL) to improve bus journey times and bus stop accessibility at the 93 bus route stop on the corner of Priory Road and Church Hill Road.
The Council is currently holding an informal consultation in connection with the proposal to improve the bus stop/stands and parking arrangements on Priory Road and Church Hill Road.
There are known problems with bus stops in this area where bus route 93 currently operates. The current bus stopping/standing provision on Church Hill Road and Priory Road appears to be insufficient for the demand and frequency of buses served by these stop/stands. There are regular instances of buses obstructing the flow of traffic and pedestrian crossing point.
The proposals have been drawn up as a result of complaints from bus passengers, bus operators and ward councillors.
You can view the plans in the documents below.
If you would like to make any comments or observations, please send them before Friday 23 March 2018 to Kingston & Sutton Shared Environment Service, Highways & Transport, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, SM5 2JG, quoting the reference HW/T30007- Priory Road, or online here.
