If you are a Sutton Housing Partnership tenant or leaseholder you have until recently been paying for your water in your service charge. That has now changed to another water company.
The real reason for the change is that SHP has been overcharging you for water.
SHP made large profits through unfair commissions from your water bills. It has put aside £1.2million for compensation, but does not want to give money back to residents.
This is wrong. You are entitled to it. Lib Dem Sutton Council, which owns SHP, does not want to give you back YOUR money.
We will at the first opportunity pay back the overcharged money to the people it was unfairly taken from.
We estimate this could be up to £200 per property.
There is an election on 3 May and the Conservative position on refunding your money to you is crystal clear.
Only a Conservative-run Council will pledge to do the right thing for residents who have been overcharged.
