The application for a larger telephone mast on St Dunstan's Hill, reference A2015/72635/TOW, has been withdrawn. This was done on Monday afternoon and in response to Transport for London's (TfL's) objection to the siting of the equipment cabinet in close proximity to a street tree which they own.
The applicant will resubmit an application relocating the cabinet away from the tree to the south of the monopole. According to Sutton Council, TfL did state in their response that they would not object to the siting of the cabinet south of the monopole.
In response to the large number of objections the Council have received from local residents to the withdrawn application and in anticipation to the same, they are going to target the 11th November Planning Committee. Sutton Council will invite all objectors of the previously withdrawn application to the committee meeting, however they will have to resubmit their objections or petitions for the new application.
