Transport for London (TfL) are planning to introduce a new pedestrian traffic island on the A24 London Road in North Cheam, near the junction of Oaks Avenue.
The new pedestrian island is designed to improve safety by reducing the long gap between footways on this road, as well as provide residents with improved access to local bus stops.
The above photo shows the proposals in detail.
If you have any issues or questions with regard to these works, you can contact TfL at [email protected], or in writing to FREEPOST TFL CONSULTATIONS. Please reference ‘Roads – A24 London Road’ on all correspondence.
TfL will be writing to local residents with details of their plans and plan to start construction on 17 March 2017.
