In August 2016, the Sutton Theatre Trust went into administration and Charles Cryer Studio Theatre closed.
Sutton Council recently sought expressions of interest and a number of the bids received have been selected, and are being invited to work up proposals in greater detail ready for a decision later this year.
There will be no financial support from the Council. A decision will be taken by the Strategy & Resources Committee later in the year as to the future of our local theatres.
