Our local MP for Carshalton and Wallington, Elliot Colburn, has today written in support of a funding bid by The CryerArts Centre for support via the Government's Cultural Recovery Fund.
The CryerArts Centre is an amazing asset right in the centre of Carshalton and Wallington and, as the only theatre in Sutton, we all know just how important a role it has in the community for residents.
As the local MP, Elliot was pleased to attend their re-opening, after the current team saved it from permanent closure, and has been in contact with their Directors throughout the pandemic to offer support.
The whole Conservative team, together with local residents, wholeheartedly support their application and wish them every success, and hope that any funding granted will help the Cryer to survive the current lockdown and ongoing restrictions. We are sure that they will again prosper and continue to benefit our community once we return to more normal times.
